Bank Indonesia (BI, first called De Javasche Bank) is the central bank of the Republic of Indonesia. As a central bank, the central bank has a single purpose, which is to achieve and maintain rupiah stability. The rupiah stability contains two aspects, namely the stability of the currency for goods and services, as well as stability against the currencies of other countries.
To achieve these objectives it is supported by three pillars which are the three areas of its work.
